The Real Adventure Begins!

Although we’ve been on the road for a couple of months now, we’ve stuck mostly to the familiar as we got acquainted with this new lifestyle. On Friday though, we left Florida, where we have family and friends, and started our trek west. As I drove away, it felt like our adventure was truly beginning.

We also left Florida with a new RV. Yes, we just bought the first one, but this one is a significant upgrade. Honestly, when we started our journey, we didn’t know if we were going to love it enough to keep going after our initial cross country venture and therefore didn’t want to make a large investment. We also didn’t know what we didn’t know. We’ve learned so much in the last few months, and we definitely love it enough not to place an end date on our travels. Our original RV also had significant mechanical issues right from the start, and this last challenge confirmed for us that upgrading was the right choice.

So, as we head into spring, I’ll admit I’m a little tired. Moving for the second time in three months has been daunting, even though this move was certainly not the massive undertaking of the first. I’m behind on my writing and feeling a bit weary on this Monday morning, but we’ll be back on schedule as of today. (Check out our itinerary on my blog titled 5 Things and keep up with our travels!) I look forward to exploring parts of the country I’ve never seen, creating a sustainable work rhythm, and enjoying our new, beautiful tiny home!
